The upgrade to version 4 is a paid upgraid. I saw someone (A.T. Guys, I think) selling pre-orders of the upgrade for $148. I don't know what the regular price will be. I haven't paid a whole lot of attention to the announcements re: MS4 but from what I remember, v. 4 will add functionality for certain phones with touch screens and it will be licensed to a phone number rather than a particular phone, meaning you could move your license from phone to phone without the need to purchase a transfer license. It will also now be multi-platform meaning that it will work on Symbien or Windows Mobile based phones instead of the current versions which are platform specific. That's all I remember. There are surely other new features but that's the big stuff.

I saw it on an email list but since I no longer use MS, I didn't save the message. The info came from someone from Code Factory. It's probably on their website somewhere but I'm too lazy to look it up for you. Google is your friend. Just search for Code Factory and you'll find the website and probably lots more info on MS 4.

it depends on when you purchased your version of mobile speak. if you bought it recently its a free upgrade to version 4. not sure when the cut off point is but as the above poster said goodle is your friend. I know blind bargains has a list of frequently asked questions and there is links to the AT guys pre order on the zone as its one of the adds at the top of the page.

The cutoff is September 1 so if you've purchased MS since then, it's free.
